Kinchega National Park Tour
Take a drive through Kinchega National Park, which show cases the old Kinchega homestead ruins, the old woolshed, along with the cemetary with the unmarked graves from the ill fated PS Proveidence. You can also take a scenic drive along the Darling River drive.
Historic Maiden's Hotel
Menindee's Historic Maidens Hotel was originally built in 1853. It is reported to be the 2nd oldest hotel in NSW to have been in continuous operation. Maidens Hotel offers great aussie pub meals,cold beer and an enjoyable stay as part of your outback adventure.
Lake Menindee
Lake Menindee is part of a number of freshwater lakes, which include Lake Pamamaroo, Lake Weatherell,Lake Cawndilla,Lake Tandure,Lake Balaka and Lake Bijijie. These Lakes are all part of the Menindee Lakes System. Lake Pamamaroo is a popular recreational and camping area. Copi Hollow, located between Lakes Menindee and Pamamaroo, was constructed to provide an area of water for water sking and swimmming all year round.
Camel Driver's Grave
Dost Mohamet, was one of the Afgan camel drivers on the Burke and Wills expedition in 1860. He settled in Menindee, and worked in the bakery of William Ah Chung (the old bakery building still stands in the Menindee township). Dos Mohamets grave can be seen 1 km outside of the Menindee township on the road to Broken Hill.
